Manuscript Submission

International Journal of Information Retrieval and Management is published half-yearly (Jan – June, July -Dec) by Intellect Research Publications. IJIRM is a high-quality double-blind refereed journal. IJIRM is the multidisciplinary research journal that serves as a forum for individuals in the field to publish their research results as well as for interested readers to acquire latest development in the field of Information Retrieval and Management. Occasional special issues are brought out treating current research areas in more depth and breadth.



            Authors should follow the guidelines for preparing the articles before submitting to the journal.

  1. Manuscripts submitted to the journal are accepted for consideration with the understanding that the same work has not been previously published nor has it been submitted for publication elsewhere.
  2. Manuscript in word document(.doc) should not exceed 10 pages.
  3. Typed in A4 paper, 12 point type, double space, one inch margin on all sides and page number given at the bottom centre
  4. First page of the manuscript should have title, name(s) of the author(s), affiliation, complete address and e-mail account followed by abstract and content of the article
  5. Major heading should be numbered capitalized, bold and left-aligned. Sub-headings should be numbered, italicized and left-aligned.
  6. Citation in the text should be listed by surname (last name) and year of publication enclosed in the parenthesis, e.g. (Vinoth, 2008), In case of multiple authors, the surname of the first author followed by et. al. and year, e. g. (Vinoth, et. al., 2008)
  7. All Tables and Figures must have titles and numbered as Table 1, Table 2, Figure 1, Figure 2, and must be placed at appropriate locations in the manuscript.
  8. A list of keywords and phrases and subject classification codes must be included on page one following the abstract.
  9. Equations should be centered with their numbers placed in parenthesis at the right margin. Numbering consecutively, or according to sections is acceptable.
  10. IJIRM would retain the copyright of all materials published in the journal
  11. All references should be arranged alphabetically and presented on a fresh page; following format of the reference is required.
